A Practical Step in Energy Consumption Management: Quchan University of Technology Faculty Visit Shahid Hashemi-Nejad Gas Refinery

According to the Office of Industry and Community Relations at Quchan University of Technology, in alignment with fulfilling an effective role in solving the country’s key issues and achieving assigned missions in the field of energy consumption management, two members of the university’s faculty visited the Shahid Hashemi-Nejad Gas Refinery.

The objective of this field visit was to implement an optimization and fuel consumption reduction project for the flares of the sulfur recovery unit at this refinery, which stands as one of the most important gas production and processing centers in the northeast of the country. It is noteworthy that this initiative, conducted as part of the university’s purposeful interactions with the region’s major industries, represents a practical step toward leveraging the university’s scientific and research capacities to enhance energy efficiency and reduce resource wastage within the nation’s gas industry.
